Satori Yoga Shala is proud to be in partnership with Yoga Inside Out.

Yoga Inside Out's (YIO) 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is a certified program registered with Yoga Alliance (YA), designed to equip aspiring teachers with the necessary skills to effectively instruct yoga. Our program not only meets the curriculum standards set by YA but also goes above and beyond by providing extensive practical, hands-on experience. Upon completion of our training, you will be fully prepared to confidently lead well-rounded yoga classes.

Yoga Inside Out's 200HR teacher training program specializes in Power Vinyasa or Vinyasa Yoga curriculum.  Unlike other programs, we approach teacher training differently by emphasizing more hands-on training in real practice teaching and more hands-on adjustments, anatomy and sequencing techniques beyond what YA requires.  We believe this will prepare you to teach a real class in front of real people.  We also care about the other aspects of yoga such as philosophy and history and we meet YA's standards but we also believe that knowing the history of yoga alone is not going to make you an effective teacher in the classroom in regards to sequencing, reading bodies, and making appropriate adjustments.

A 200hr program will barely scratch the non-asana surface of Yoga so we aim to give you enough to get you started on your own growth in these areas because the historical knowledge of yoga will enrich your personality as a teacher and it is a life long learning journey.   Our main purpose is to prepare you to be effective when you stand up in front of a classroom and lead people through an asana based class.

Our curriculum is scheduled to give you maximum learning experience and practice teaching. Our one week intensive followed by 3 weekends has been proven effective to help retain information and apply it quickly so it becomes a part of you.  The one week intensive helps you put aside other distractions such as jobs and other responsibilities so you can focus on YOU and your commitment to this important part of your journey to becoming a yoga teacher.  Since we only accept 10 students at a time, you'll be surrounded by people who are committed and supportive to your growth in an intimate setting.  We will get to know each other very well and even make life long friendships.

The other graduates will agree that some of the most valuable aspects of our program is the 1-on-1 mentoring you receive from Nikki and Jennifer pre-training, during training, and post-training and the fact that you can attend future 200hr trainings for free for life to continue your learning.  Many graduates have been able to start teaching right away at the studio after they have completed all their requirements.  Some graduates will be able to assist Nikki and Jennifer in future trainings and grow their teaching in other ways.

We would love to discuss your interest in our program.  Please explore these pages to gain more information.

Be Well,

Nikki & Jennifer

"The path to becoming a yoga teacher demands that you magnify your enthusiasm for learning and devotion to the practice for at the heart of a teacher is a student."  ~Nikki Wong

“Yoga inside out teacher training is a gift Nikki has graced into the Universe. Nikki is a true expert, she is down to earth; she brings and encourages different perspectives and experiences into the training. Nikki listens to her students and will never make you feel unappreciated. She is knowledgeable, and humble in her teachings. The one week intensive invites a deep experience that is shared with other yogis. I participated in 2016 and it has forever changed my practice, on and off the mat. If you join YIO teacher training, be prepared to step out of your comfort zone in a loving, supportive, and fun environment."
